The following are ways to get involved and provide spiritual support and care to the people of College Wesleyan Church

Care Ministers Team

Care Ministers are integral members of our Care Ministries. Through their presence, sharing scripture and prayer, and visits to the CWC congregation in various settings, they provide spiritual support to those in need during certain seasons of life.

People interested in volunteering for this opportunity need to participate in Care Minister Training.

Homebound Care Team

Build and share in a relationship with our homebound/shut-in members of CWC. Provide care for this group of members through visits, sharing scripture and prayer, spiritual support, and presence through scheduled visits and check-ins.

People interested in volunteering for this opportunity need to participate in Care Minister Training.

Homebound Communion Team

Following the Sunday morning services on the days when we take communion as a congregation, groups of people from CWC take elements that have been consecrated and give them to our shut-in members. We do this as a way of including them in the life of our church body.

People interested in volunteering for this opportunity receive instruction/training prior to helping serve communion.

Prayer Team

Join the hundreds of CWC-connected people who are praying daily for the needs that are shared with our congregation. One of the key foundational pieces of Care comes through prayer!

People interested in participating need access to email.

Card Ministry Team

Write cards of encouragement to people who have been walking through loss the past couple of years.

People interested in participating need to be able to utilize the “MyCWC” online directory.

Soul Coaches Team

Members of this group of trained laity provide care for people in the congregation through 1-1 relationships, helping people navigate the spiritual journey they are on, by active listening and presence.

People interested in participating need to complete a year-long training program prior to serving.

Funeral Dinner Team

Journey with people through one of the more difficult times they face here on earth, the loss of a loved one. Members of this team meet a tangible need, helping with the meal CWC provides for the bereaved family immediately following the funeral.

People interested in this opportunity need to request to join the team.
